Once upon a time there was a broad river in a Jungle and a very narrow bridge was there over it. Only one person can cross that bridge at a time. Animals of the jungle had the understanding that when one animal crossed the bridge the other animal waited.
One day a goat named Michel was crossing that bridge. The weather was nice. He was in a good mood and was singing a song.
As he reached in the middle of the bridge he saw another goat named John started crossing the bridge from the other side.
Soon John reached in the middle of the bridge. Now John and Michel came in front of each other. Michel said, “John we both cannot cross the bridge at the same time. You go back and let me cross first.”
“I would not go back. You go back” Said John. Michel said angrily, “I started first so I would cross the bridge first. You go back.”
They started fighting with each other. Nobody was ready to compromise and let the other pass first.
They both became so busy in fighting with each other that they forgot they were standing on a narrow bridge over a river. They lost their balance.
They both got slipped from the bridge and fell down in the river. Now they realized that if they acted wisely they both could have crossed the river peacefully.
The moral of the story is in adverse conditions we should not lose our temper, keep the calm and act wisely to solve the problem. Then only we can find a way to get rid of the problem.
