The explosive growth of wireless communications and especially the deployment of Wi-Fi equipment comes with a growing concern regarding health effects due to this prolonged EMF exposure. This concern arises from people which claim that they suffer from various symptoms (such as headaches, nausea, tiredness, concentration difficulties and heart palpitation) when exposed to EMF radiation, and has motivated us to create the WiFi Exposure Meter application to measure and evaluate the EMF exposure levels generated from WiFi access points and wireless routers.
WiFi Exposure Meter compiles a worldwide EMF exposure limits database based on international standards and guidelines that allows a user to evaluate the measured EMF exposure level against these standards and guidelines. Depending on the findings a WiFi user may decide to lower this exposure by lowering the transmitted WiFi power or move the WiFi equipment.
